Alienate!

If Alienation from life is your desire, then...

continue to see life as a problem that needs solving!

As a species, we have been attempting to liberate our existence from the pain that clouds our minds for a long time. In this process, we have somehow managed to alienate ourselves further from what it is we seek.

It is certainly human nature to seek. But it would appear that this quality is not helping us to find genuine happiness. The key to our freedom seems to be well hidden from our view.

So what is seeking?

Effectively it is problem solving. So we have problem solved our way into our current situation and now we are trying to problem solve our way out of it.

And what makes us think that the manner in which we have been functioning throughout the history of our existence, is suddenly going to turn around and start working for us?

Firstly, we know no other way. And secondly, we are convinced that our salvation lies just beyond the next problem to solve.

Problem solving is a mode of functioning. And it is in this mode that our minds have been travelling in and continue to travel in. In fact, our ability to solve problems is why we survived as a species.

So, if problem solving got us this far, why can’t we just keep doing what we have always done?

The answer is actually very straight forward. There is one very interesting but largely overlooked glitch in this system…

As a problem solver you can never be satisfied, or you wouldn’t bother to solve problems in the first place! And to top it all off, this mode of functioning requires pain as a guide for decision making.

So how can we find permanent happiness when we are using pain as our guide?

There is a simple answer to that too…We can’t!

Another unfortunate characteristic of this mode that we are functioning in, is that pain gets transferred from one mind to another and from generation to generation. Hence it keeps growing in intensity within our minds both individually and collectively over time. This increasing pain leads us to dig deeper into our problem solving pathway. Why? Because the more pain we feel the more life feels like a problem. Of course this just leads to more pain and then more problem solving and so on it goes.

Also, we are not just trying to problem solve our life’s journey, we are doing so within the confines of the Construct – and we wonder why we feel so perplexed and insecure most of the time.

So here we all are. Sitting together on planet earth, all feeling psychologically disabled, yet forever living for our dreams that are lost in a world of confusion. And this will leave us looking out into the unknown with nothing but our pain and the fear that this creates. We are waiting for something that does not exist; not knowing how to embrace the truth that our salvation exists, not in front of us, but within us.

Welcome to the Insanity of Humanity!
